Astro-photography is the word of the day. Astro-photography is a specialized form of photography that often requires lots of time and patience. In my case it waiting all summer long for the new moon to be out on a weekend, and cloudless skies with a lower humidity level.
The cover image for this post is just moments before sunset on the old airfield at Cherry Springs and the shadow in the middle is actually the camera on its tripod.
I used some long term exposures with my camera in “bulb mode” to capture the following two pics.
