The amazing thing about canvas tents is that they have stood the test of time and are still in use today. Take some rope, wooden poles and canvas and you can put 20 people in the tent that follows. A tent is a very simple form of shelter and today’s military tents are much fancier. But for many, many soldiers over the year this tent was home for many nights. I myself have some not so fond memories of living in a tent for 6 months in the Republic of Haiti. This image is very simple. But for me, and others it speaks volumes.
